Christmas approaches

The past couple of weeks your social calendar has been booked. You had dinner this week with Uncle Mike & Aunt Stacy and you got to meet one of the most important men in your young life, Santa Claus -- more about him later. This past weekend not only did you get to spend some time with cousin Emmett at our house, but we went down to Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop McDonnell's house for a big family Christmas party at the shore. You got to hang out with all of your cousins and extended family (which you will realize is quite a big bunch)!

Now back to Santa. Santa Claus is the man who brings all of the little ones around the world exactly what their hearts' desire on Christmas, but only if they behave throughout the year. He makes a list of the nice and naughty children; based upon where you might fall on that list determines if you will get what you have been after all year long or a lump of coal. Santa can be reached a couple of ways -- a traditional letter (Mommy sent one on your behalf this year), a phone call from Daddy if you are being a bad boy, and a meet & greet at a location of his choosing. This year Santa stopped by the Cherry Hill mall and we decided you should have a sit down to get acquainted for all the Christmases to come.

Being that there is only one Santa, the line to meet him was quite long. After two hours of pacing and twisting in our arms, you were up. We handed you to the big guy and all you could do was smile. You were a little angel. This pretty much guaranteed that he would stop by our house on Christmas eve to deliver all of your presents! Good job bud.

Christmas weekend is rapidly approaching and we are excited to watch you open your first gifts. We are sure that the boxes and wrapping paper will interest you more than what is inside but that has not stopped Daddy from plotting with Santa to get you the big gifts (ie. a moon bounce - sorry bud I adore you but vetoed that idea, you will appreciate this later...promise).
