Initially I was horrified at the idea of leaving you but then I accepted that it was going to happen. It really makes Daddy and me cherish the moments we all have together that much more. We still get those laughs and your chatter about what you did all day. You are growing up so quick so it is vital for us to really make the most of the time we share.
I have also come to find, as many a new mother probably do, my time is valuable. I am more efficient at work than I think I ever have been because of you. I don't have time to stay late to finish things up because I have a very important standing date with you every day. I have learned the beauty of time management and really that there is no right time or way to do things. I also learned I can function at a pretty high level on minimum sleep which apparently is a requirement of the job of "mother".
Yet another benefit is really becoming a family. Life was great with me and Daddy but it became even better when we met you. You added something that we would never get by ourselves. You are so lucky that you are getting to spend your days getting to know your Uncle Kevin who you may not get to see too much over the course of the next couple of years as he pursues his goals of becoming a political science rock star.
Which brings me to the title of this post, I feel like we are all finding our groove. It is a huge adjustment when we first brought you home. We didn't know what exactly we were doing and you were waiting for us to catch up! Now it feels like life just makes sense naturally:)
